SVA Porch and Roof Corrections- Phase 1
This project provided demolition and site rehabilitation services for the Sheridan VAMC, Sheridan, WY. Since these buildings were listed on the Wyoming State Historic Registry, all building restoration was performed in order to comply with bringing the appearance and structure back to their original appearance and grandeur.Work included demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing front porch, railings, balusters, and columns; all porch ceilings, trusses, and standing metal roofing, all gutters, downspouts and existing stairs back to the brick structure, and installation of a new porch structures built to match the historic appearance of the former original porch structure to include new columns, trusses, handrails, balusters, newels, decking, ceilings, new roofing elements (flashing, sheathing, sealants, underlayment, standing seam metal roof, fascia, gutters, downspouts, and all appurtenances) and all stair component as detailed in the plans and specifications. All new wood elements shall be primed and painted to match the existing undisturbed building. Tuck-pointing shall be performed on the buildings as necessary and as detailed in the plans and specifications. Additional work included repair and replacement of the roof on Garage Building 62.
